Who is collecting the data?
No one other than Transitions Stage Company will be collecting data from this site.
There is an opt-out for ‘Enter Stage Write’ script participants who do not want to have their scripts held in Transitions Stage Company’s online database.

What data is being collected?
Your personal information is being collected (email, age, and name) with your consent.

What is the legal basis for processing the data?
When you submit a script to ‘Enter Stage Write’ your data and your intellectual property is only shared within the production team and script judges and judicators. The age is needed to secure that only candidates aged 16+ participate in the scripts’ submission.

Will the data be shared with any third parties?
Only if you choose to opt-in, Transition Stage Company’s database industry third parties can look at your script and contact you, they have the intent of purchasing or collaborating. If you choose to do business or work with this third party, The Writers’ Guild can advise you.

How will the information be used?
Your information will be used so Transition Stage Company can contact you for events, opportunities and blog information.

How long will the data be stored for?
Your name, age and email address will be stored on the website forever unless you contact us to unsubscribe from the database. If you subscribe to ‘Enter Stage Write’, your script is held with us for a year.

What rights does the data subject have?
You have all the exclusive rights to your intellectual property. Your contact details and personal emails will not be shared with any third parties without your permission.

How can the data subject raise a complaint?

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
